Behaviour Mentor - KS3/KS4
Location: Westminster (W2) - commutable from Paddington, Maida Vale, Kilburn, Bayswater, and Marylebone
Pay: -95115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Long Term Futures is working with a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Westminster to appoint a Behaviour Mentor for September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people in KS3 and KS4 overcome barriers to learning, build resilience, and develop positive relationships both in and outside the classroom.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students across Years 7-11 who present with a range of SEMH and behavioural needs. Working alongside the pastoral and inclusion team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to students needing additional guidance
- Using behaviour management strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged in lessons
- Supporting classroom teachers with behaviour interventions and differentiation strategies
- Leading restorative conversations and mentoring sessions to promote positive decision-making
- Helping to monitor pupil progress, attendance, and wellbeing, reporting to senior pastoral staff
- Acting as a role model, encouraging self-confidence, independence, and resilience
What We''re Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs (school, youth work, or mentoring settings)
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills, with a calm and consistent approach
- Confidence in working with pupils across a range of abilities and backgrounds
- Proactive, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting student welfare
- A team player with the ability to build strong relationships with both staff and students
