Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Croydon

Long Term Futures are working with a large, inclusive secondary school in the borough of Croydon to appoint a committed and proactive Behaviour Mentor for the new academic year.

The school has a well-established pastoral structure and dedicated behaviour support spaces. With a strong focus on consistency, early intervention, and restorative approaches, the school is proud of its ability to re-engage students and support positive behaviour change.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning, particularly those presenting challenging behaviours or SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behaviour and emotional needs
* Deliver behaviour mentoring, daily check-ins and targeted interventions
* Support students in class and during unstructured times throughout the school day
* Help implement behaviour support plans in coordination with the SENCo and pastoral team
* Contribute to reintegration following exclusion, internal isolation or persistent behaviour incidents

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting secondary-aged students with SEMH or behaviour challenges
* A calm, confident, and consistent approach to de-escalation and support
* A background in behaviour mentoring, youth work, PRU, or inclusion settings
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* A commitment to making a lasting impact on young people

Location and Transport - Croydon, South London
* Easily accessible via East Croydon, West Croydon and Norwood Junction stations
* Bus routes: 50, 60, 64, 109, 198, 250
* On-site parking available for staff
