You do not need formal teaching qualifications for this role. The Role & Impact Operating inside a collaborative pastoral hub, you will work directly with young people facing complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges or attendance barriers. Targeted Behaviour Mentoring: Run structured 1:1 or small-group mentoring sessions to build emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. Crisis De-escalation: Respond safely and proactively to behavioural incidents, using trauma-informed approaches to help students calm down and successfully reintegrate into learning. In-Classroom Re-engagement: Support pupils directly within standard lessons to keep them focused, tracking their success alongside the school''s SENCo and Year Heads.
