This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream education and require a more individualised approach.The successful candidate will be confident managing challenging behaviour while building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with learning.The RoleProvide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils within an Alternative Provision settingBuild strong, positive relationships with pupilsSupport students with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs and emotional regulationUse positive behaviour strategies and effective de-escalation techniquesEncourage pupils to engage with learning and develop their confidenceHelp pupils develop social, emotional and independent learning skillsWork closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide consistent supportMaintain a calm, structured and supportive environmentRequirementsPrevious experience working with children or young people is essentialExperience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH or pupils at risk of disengaging from educationExperience within Alternative Provision, specialist education, youth work or a similar setting would be beneficialA calm, ..... full job details .....
