About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional social, emotional, or behavioural support to help them reach their full potential both academically and personally.You ll be a positive role model, supporting students in developing self-regulation, confidence, and positive relationships with peers and staff. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils with behavioural or emotional needs. Support the implementation of behaviour strategies and individual support plans. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage positive choices. Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents/carers. Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Record and monitor progress, contributing to reviews and intervention plans. Person Specification Essential: A genuine passion for supporting young people. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and use restorative approaches. Experience working with children or young people (in schools, youth work, or similar). Desirable: Experience supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies or therapeutic approaches.
