Behaviour Educational Support

We are seeking a committed and resilient individual to work full-time within a specialist referral setting supporting young people with additional behavioural, emotional and social needs.This role is ideally full-time to provide consistency and stability for pupils, however employment will be offered through an agency and therefore work cannot be guaranteed.The RoleYou will work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, supporting them both academically and emotionally throughout the school day. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm and consistent in demanding situations.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needsSupport pupils to engage with learning activities and follow routinesManage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategiesBuild positive, trusting relationships with pupils and act as a reliable role modelSupport pupils during lessons, unstructured times, and off-site activities where requiredWork collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionalsMaintain safeguarding standards at all times and follow setting policiesThe Ideal CandidateHas experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needsIs consistent, reliable, and able to commit to full-time hours where possibleDemonstrates resilience, patience, and a calm approach under pressureHas a genuine ..... full job details .....
