Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant

This could be an excellent opportunity for someone who is calm, patient, confident and committed to making a genuine difference in a primary school setting.Academics are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Slough who are looking for a Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September.The ideal candidate will be able to build positive relationships with children and provide consistent support to pupils who may need additional help with their behaviour, learning and emotional development. Previous experience working with children is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.This role may include:Supporting pupils with behaviour and learning in the classroomProviding 1:1 and small-group supportHelping children engage positively with their learningSupporting pupils to follow instructions and develop independenceWorking closely with teachers and the wider school teamMonitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviourProviding a calm and consistent presence for pupils who may find school challengingThis role offers valuable experience within a primary school, with the opportunity to develop your skills in behaviour management, inclusion and supporting children with additional needs.
