Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: -98 per day
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday
Start Date: 8th September 2025

We are seeking a resilient and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and personal development.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.

• Help pupils manage their behaviour and develop positive coping strategies.

• Work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging and structured learning.

• Build strong, trusting relationships to support pupils'' social and emotional wellbeing.

• Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment.

• Experience working with young people with SEMH is desirable - whether as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or through similar roles.

• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour management.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.

• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.

• Full-time, consistent working hours (Monday - Friday).

• Competitive daily rate of -98, paid weekly.
