Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: -98 per day
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday
Start Date: 8th September 2025
We are seeking a resilient and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and personal development.
The Role:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
Help pupils manage their behaviour and develop positive coping strategies.
Work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging and structured learning.
Build strong, trusting relationships to support pupils'' social and emotional wellbeing.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment.
What We''re Looking For:
Experience working with young people with SEMH is desirable - whether as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or through similar roles.
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour management.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
