Bearings Technician

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, an engineering business specialising in precision air bearing spindles, who are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Bearings Technician to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good mechanical and electrical aptitude who enjoys hands-on engineering, precision measurement and problem-solving. Previous experience with air bearing spindles would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full training will be provided.As a Bearings Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that finished spindles meet exacting customer specifications and quality standards. Working within a small, supportive team, you will be responsible for testing, measuring and assessing the performance of precision-engineered components.Key Responsibilities:Carry out final testing of air bearing spindles against customer-specified parameters.Perform static testing and electrical running tests, checking vibration levels and overall spindle performance.Use dial indicators, electronic measuring equipment and other precision engineering instruments to measure components to sub-micron levels.Assemble components and carry out detailed inspection and measurement.Identify faults, investigate performance issues and undertake rework where required.Maintain consistently high standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail.Support colleagues with a variety of engineering and workshop activities to help achieve weekly production ..... full job details .....
