Beach Cleaning Operative

Fantastic opportunity for a Cleaner, labourer or Caretaker to work with one of South Tyneside''s leading local council.

My client requires experienced, motivated and hard-working cleaning operatives.

Work will include manual handling, collections, cleaning and rubbish removals on beaches and public open spaces across the South Tyneside Region.

Start date: ASAP

Hours: Various shifts across a 5 in 7 day rota

Duration: 4 - 5 months

Contract: Temporary

Pay rate: -14.10

Requirements:

• Experience in either cleaning, labouring or grounds maintenance
• Manual handling experience
• Able to work in all weather conditions (PPE will be provided)
• Can work well in a team

You will:

• Carry out flexible working as this is required as part of this role, the service operates 7 days per week with shift patterns in place to enable the service to operate from early in the morning to late afternoon.
• Work as part of the Streetscene team helping and supporting all colleagues in the delivery of excellent services.
• Communicate effectively, making line managers and other colleagues aware of any issues.
• Carry out all work to the highest professional standards and in accordance with the Council''s policies and procedures.
• Act always as a representative of the Council, promoting positive engagement with residents and maintaining good relationships.
