Location: Ballymena
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm - to be confirmed)

Salary: £16 per hours

We are currently seeking a Batching Operative to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in coordinating and controlling concrete batching operations to meet company standards and production targets.

The Role

As a Batching Operative, you will be responsible for operating a computer-controlled batching plant, ensuring concrete is produced to the correct specification and delivered efficiently to precast factories. You will help maximise production uptime while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a computer-controlled batching plant as part of a team

• Ensure all concrete produced meets required specifications and quality standards

• Carry out pre-start and pre-use checks, reporting any issues promptly

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including end-of-shift wash downs

• Comply with all Health andamp; Safety procedures, company rules, and OHSAS 18001 standards

• Work to production deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Support continuous improvement initiatives where required

Essential Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work effectively in a busy factory environment

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Awareness of COSHH regulations

• Understanding of workplace health andamp; safety procedures and PPE

• Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines

• Proactive approach with a strong team ethic

• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Desirable Skills andamp; Experience

• Experience in concrete, production, or chemical environments

• Knowledge of quality assurance processes or lean manufacturing principles
