Bar Staff Goose and Gridiron We are currently looking to hire a Bar/Café Team Member to join our vibrant and welcoming team at the Goose and Gridiron (Freemasons'' Hall, Covent Garden). Purpose of the Job: The purpose of the job will be to greet, serve and look after guests while maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment in a busy bar and café environment. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage preparation methods, trends and presentation. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and serving drinks Creating a welcoming environment for a broad range of guests Keeping work areas, utensils and equipment and seating areas clean and well maintained. Properly handle and maintain all equipment Understanding and communicating information about our food and beverage offering, including allergen awareness Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner Receiving and processing customer payments Observe relevant health and safety standards Plus, any other reasonable duties Skills: Excellent customer service Excellent verbal communication in English Good personal presentation Ability to work effectively as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability Ability to learn new information quickly Physical ability to move boxes, stock.
