An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bar Manager to take the lead in a well-established hospitality venue in County Donegal, Just a Short Drive from Letterkenny.
As the business enters an ambitious new phase of growth, we are seeking a driven, hands-on hospitality professional who is ready to take full ownership of a busy bar and food-led operation. This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys leading from the front, and wants the opportunity to make a real impact on a growing business.
The Opportunity
As Bar Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service, strong financial controls, and the effective management of both bar and kitchen teams. This is a senior leadership position offering genuine autonomy and the chance to help shape the future direction and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
* Take full responsibility for the daily operation of the bar and food service.
* Deliver excellent customer experiences through high standards of service and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with all licensing, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
Stock & Cost Control
* Manage all bar stock control, ordering, and inventory processes.
* Maintain tight control over stock levels, wastage, and profitability across both wet sales and food operations.
* Conduct accurate weekly and monthly stock takes.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing pricing and purchasing.
Team Leadership (Bar & Kitchen)
* Recruit, train, schedule, and lead bar staff.
* Oversee kitchen staffing and operational coordination, working closely with the chef once appointed.
* Manage performance, development, and disciplinary matters where required.
* Foster strong communication and teamwork between front and back-of-house teams.
Kitchen & Food Oversight

Marketing & Business Development
* Develop and implement local marketing initiatives, events, and promotions.
* Manage social media presence and promotional campaigns.
* Drive revenue through live entertainment, sporting events, seasonal activities, and community engagement.
Administration & Reporting
* Produce regular reports covering sales, stock, staffing, and overall business performance.
* Communicate proactively with owners, identifying challenges and opportunities.
* Ensure operational systems and procedures are adhered to consistently.

About You
Essential Experience
* Proven experience as a Bar Manager or senior hospitality leader.
* Strong background in stock control, cost management, and profitability.
* Experience managing both bar and kitchen teams.
* Good understanding of kitchen operations, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
* Confident and organised leader who can work independently and make decisions effectively.
* Full driving licence and access to transport.
Highly Desirable
* Previous experience opening, relaunching, or growing a hospitality venue.
* Marketing, social media, and event promotion experience.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience using POS and stock management systems.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
