BANKSMAN SOLAR PV - SOLAR FARM - CONSTRUCTION UK CONTRACT

Job Overview:
A renewable energy construction project requires an experienced Banksman to support site operations during the delivery of a utility-scale Solar PV project. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe movement of plant, machinery and vehicles across the construction site, supporting lifting operations and maintaining safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and guide plant operators and delivery vehicles across site safely.

  • Act as the designated banksman during lifting and reversing operations.

  • Ensure safe movement of plant and machinery around personnel and work areas.

  • Assist with coordinating deliveries and positioning of materials across site.

  • Maintain clear communication with plant operators and site management.

  • Ensure compliance with site health and safety procedures and RAMS.

  • Monitor work areas to ensure exclusion zones are respected during lifting activities.

  • Support the wider site team in maintaining safe site operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Banksman on construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Valid Banksman / Slinger Signaller certification.

  • CSCS Card.

  • Strong awareness of construction site health and safety practices.

  • Experience working with heavy plant and lifting operations preferred.

  • Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

  • Duration: 12 months (with extension potential)

  • Location: Shropshire, England Site Based-

  • Start Date: ASAP
