HMP Pentonville is a male prison with a capacity of 1200 inmates and is a remand prison for inmates awaiting trial. It is well situated in London and 10 minutes from Kings Cross station.Hours

Weekdays, weekends and nights vary from 7.30–4pm, 7.30–8pm and 8pm–8am. Weekends are the same. Must be able to commit to a mixture of shifts.Salary

£25.14 weekdays; £27.14 for weekends.How will we support you?

As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will:Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissionsUndertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screeningUse your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary teamProvide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to themDeliver non-judgemental care that makes a real differenceInspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholdersPromote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learningShare knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teamsQualifications

Registered nurse – AdultCurrent professional qualification (NMC)Substance misuse, emergency response or primary care experience is desirableEvidence of Continued Professional DevelopmentUnderstanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency workingA non-judgemental and compassionate approachAlthough not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
