Bandsaw Operator / Metal Cutting Operative Location: Rochester Medway City EstateHours: 07 00Days: Monday to FridayPay: £13.50 £14.00 per hour, depending on experiencePosition: Temp to PermWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Bandsaw Operator / Metal Cutting Operative to join a busy industrial operation based on Medway City Estate in Rochester.This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate following a successful temporary period.The role is hands-on and involves working with metal and steel, using a bandsaw to accurately cut metal poles and materials to the required sizes.The successful candidate will have previous experience operating a bandsaw and cutting metal, along with the ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications.The Role Your main responsibility will be accurately cutting metal poles and other materials to the required lengths.Duties will include: Operating a bandsaw to cut metal and steel materialsCutting metal poles accurately to the required sizesMeasuring materials using a tape measureReading measurements clearly and accuratelyWorking from measurements and job requirements to ensure materials are cut correctlyHandling and positioning metal materials ready for cuttingChecking measurements before and after cuttingEnsuring cuts are accurate and meet the required specificationsLoading and positioning materials safely on the bandsawCarrying out basic equipment checks and ..... full job details .....
