37.5 hours per week, worked across Monday to Sunday, on rotationWe''re expanding our Oncology services at The London Clinic and have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 Charge Nurse/Sister to join our Haematology team within the state-of-the-art Duchess of Devonshire Wing.The roleWe are currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse to join our specialist Stem Cell Transplant Unit at The London Clinic. This is a senior nursing opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, personalised care to patients undergoing complex haematology and stem cell transplant treatments.About usThe Stem Cell Transplant Unit is part of our world-class cancer services department, based in our purpose-built Duchess of Devonshire Wing. The London Clinic is known for its supportive, collaborative culture where every contribution is valued, guided by our core values: We go further, We work as one, We personalise care.Key Duties:Lead the safe delivery of care for patients undergoing haematology treatment and stem cell transplantsSupervise and mentor junior staff while deputising for the Ward Manager when requiredParticipate in audits, quality improvement, JACIE accreditation activities and multidisciplinary team meetingsAdminister cytotoxic chemotherapy and blood products in line with protocolPromote patient-centred care and ensure safe documentation, drug administration and infection controlAct as an effective resource and point of contact for patients, families and colleaguesSkills and Experience:Post-registration experience in Oncology and/or HaematologyCompetency in stem cell return and blood transfusionStrong organizational skills and high standards of clinical practiceProficiency in phlebotomy, cannulation, and intravenous cytotoxic drug administrationAbility to mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental educationCompletion of ENB 237/998 or equivalentHaematology, chemotherapy, or cancer foundation coursesExperience in academic writing, presentations, or committee participationFamiliarity with Meditech and Mosaiq systemsPrevious involvement in JACIE accreditation processesWe offer a range of benefits including flexible working and great career opportunities.
