Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking team player to join the Learning and Development (LandD) team, to provide professional expertise and support to the Education and Training speciality. This role supports the LandD team within the wider Human Resources function. The LandD team focuses on the training provision for all staff at Royal Free London Group. The focus of the LandD Team is to ensure access to training and career development opportunities. This role will lead on the development and delivery of high-quality learning, development and engagement initiatives that support the delivery of the people strategy and the learning and development work programmes, enabling staff and managers to develop the skills, knowledge and experiences required for the Trust to meet its organisational objectives.Our remit covers Mandatory and Statutory Training (MaST), which plays a crucial role in ensuring that our staff are following the correct health and safety processes whilst delivering a high-level care to our patients. Personal development is also a major part of our function, engaging with staff to ensure access to training that supports continuing development and wider organisational development. The LandD team manages the Education Centres, a suite of modern rooms designed to facilitate the delivery of training.Responsibilities

Take responsibility for communication and engagement initiatives, and associated administration.Support colleagues on all matters relating to engagement and training.Coordinate and lead on programmes of work supporting wider recruitment and retention priorities as a member of the culture team.Create engaging content and utilise a range of communication channels to share positive stories around the range of development opportunities across the Royal Free London Group.Build and establish working relationships with colleagues across the trust; act as a point of contact for queries and advice and lead in supporting learning activities.Coordinate activities and support programme planning, preparation of materials, and maintenance and review of projects.Promote and monitor the annual colleague engagement survey and quarterly survey.Deliver corporate induction, professional development and leadership programs in formats that engage, motivate and inspire staff to deliver outstanding patient/customer care.Create and design a wide range of innovative and effective programmes in line with the People Strategy and Royal Free Academy vision.About the organisation and mission
