Band 5 Finance Officer (Ards)

Honeycomb are delighted to be working with Ards Community Hospital to recruit for a Band 5 Finance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team based at Ards Community Hospital, Newtownards. The Role This is a hybrid position - with 3 days in the office and 2 from home each week once training is complete. You''ll be an integral part of the service, working closely with colleagues across the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. Please note, during your initial probationary period, you''ll be based in the office full-time to support your training and development. Contract Immediate start preferred Post runs until at least 31 March 2026 (with the possibility of extension, depending on service needs). Travel The role will involve visiting other SEHSCT sites, so you''ll need a full driving licence and access to a car. The Candidate Motivated and committed to high-quality service Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and adaptable to changing needs Essential Criteria University degree and 2 years suitable relevant financial experience or, AAT/HND qualified and 2 years suitable relevant financial experience or, Part Qualified with one of the CCAB recognised bodies and 1 years suitable relevant financial experience or, 3 years suitable relevant financial experience at Band 4 level Excellent written and verbal communication with a range of stakeholders Competent at Microsoft Excel, ability to manipulate large volumes of data, wide range of functions and then provide analysis on this data Confident with accounting principles - accruals, prepayments etc. Ideally, experience in management accounts, investigating variances. Ability to manage workload to meet department deadlines Why Join Us?
