This historical and family-owned food manufacturer specialises in the production of traditional pastry products that are supplied to major retailers across the UK including Tesco and Waitrose. They produce almost a million units weekly and have plans to continue growing over the coming years. In this role you will hold overall responsibility for production, working closely with the company''s owners and overseeing about 40 staff across several lines to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years'' production management experience in Food Manufacturing along with experience specifically in a Bakery setting, preferably with pastry products although this isn''t essential. They will also need to have experience with continuous improvements or lean manufacturing. This is the perfect role for someone who would prefer to make a larger and more visible impact in a smaller and more relaxed business rather than being a ''cog in the wheel'' at a larger corporation.
