Salary: -27,500 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift Patterns: Varying shifts between 2:00am and 9:00pm, including early mornings, Sundays ( No Saturdays) , and bank holidays as required.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join our wonderful client in an established business on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and finishing of a variety of baked goods, with a strong focus on dough handling and oven work. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle dough according to recipes and production requirements
- Operate ovens and baking equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor baking times and product quality
- Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards
- Follow daily production schedules and meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient management
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar food production role
- Strong skills in dough preparation and oven operation
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work early morning or late shifts as part of a rota
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
