Backup Engineer

Backup EngineerLocation: Work from home/TelfordDuration: 6 months initially This senior-level role sits within a Backup team responsible for the provision of Managed Service andamp; Project activities.The team provides support to the Backup solutions on the Live, Development andamp; Test environments as well as performing all Change andamp; Project work.The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Backup technologies including Veritas NetBackup. In addition there will be a considerable amount of migration/transformation Project work, some of which may be out of hours.* At least 5-10 years'' experience of supporting (2nd to 3rd Line) backups of Servers and virtual payloads.* Good knowledge of backup and restore technologies.* Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication.* Have a proven problem solving ability.* Proactive approach to personal workload management.* Awareness of the ITIL Service Management framework and specifically incident and change management.* Use and support of Veritas NetBackup software and storage appliances.* Use and support of backups in a VMWare environment.* General knowledge of supporting backups on various server operating systems - Windows, Linux (RHEL andamp; SLES), AIX and SolarisLA International is an award-winning partner of choice for many of the world''s most influential companies and government organisations.
