Backend/Full-stack Developer

Public sector, required on-site once a week. Overview: We''re looking for an experienced Node.js engineer to build and maintain scalable web applications. This role is primarily Back End-focused, with some templating and accessibility work on the Front End. You''ll work across the full development life cycle - from APIs and Middleware to deployment pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain applications using Node.js, Express, and Redis Build and consume REST APIs and create reusable npm packages Configure and maintain Docker builds, YAML configs, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines Use the GDS toolkit and Nunjucks for templating Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG/a11y) and perform testing Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Cypress, Jest) Nice to Have: Experience with Java or SQL databases ..... full job details .....
