Back End DeveloperLocation: Leeds (1x/month on-site, otherwise remote)Rate: £500/day, Inside IR35Duration: Until March 2027OverviewWe are supporting a consultancy in the public sector looking for a Back End Developer to help build, scale and maintain Back End services underpinning citizen-facing and internal systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership over infrastructure as well as code, so you''ll be just as comfortable in Terraform and AWS as you are writing TypeScript. Mostly remote working with one day a month in Leeds for team collaboration and planning.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain Back End services and APIs using TypeScriptTake ownership of AWS infrastructure, including provisioning, scaling and cost managementBuild, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable deploymentsWrite and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, keeping environments consistent and reproducibleWork closely with product owners, architects and other engineers to translate requirements into robust technical solutionsMonitor system performance and reliability, and proactively resolve issues before they impact usersContribute to technical decisions around architecture, tooling and best practiceSupport security and compliance requirements relevant to public sector systemsDocument technical decisions and processes clearly for the wider teamKey RequirementsStrong commercial experience with TypeScript in a Back End contextSolid hands-on ..... full job details .....
