Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector, is seeking a B1 Licensed Engineer to support aircraft maintenance operations at main base and detached locations worldwide. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced aircraft maintenance professional with strong technical, supervisory and regulatory knowledge.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and certify aircraft maintenance and aircraft equipment work in accordance with approved maintenance data and organisational procedures
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance, applying safe systems of work to all assigned tasks
  • Supervise technical staff, ensuring duties are completed safely, correctly and in line with relevant maintenance manuals and exposition requirements
  • Support aircraft operations at main base and detached locations, including the safe supervision and performance of aircraft ground movements
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of aircraft maintenance documentation and certification records
  • Coordinate engineering activities, prioritise tasks and support the team in delivering work to agreed targets and timescales
  • Review team performance, provide feedback and assist the Crew Chief with daily operations, team development and continuous improvement
  • Promote a positive safety culture, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and uphold excellent customer and stakeholder relationships


Job Requirements:

  • Unrestricted CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with relevant type ratings and company authorisations where applicable
  • Significant experience within an aircraft maintenance environment, including line, base or workshop settings
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to aircraft maintenance and certification
  • Proven ability to supervise, motivate and influence technical teams effectively
  • Good change management and basic project management skills, with an understanding of continuous improvement principles
  • Excellent communication, team-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines, support operational requirements and work flexible shift patterns, including detached assignments
  • Medical fitness for daily engineering duties and the ability to meet current UK security clearance and ITAR requirements
