Azure Security Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with:Futureheads is seeking a Senior Azure Security Engineer to join a well-known client. This hands-on role involves designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect systems and data, ensuring compliance with key standards.What You’ll Do

Design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures

following industry best practices.Create and support cloud security policies and procedures.Perform risk assessments and security reviews, contributing to security strategy and roadmaps.Integrate security into DevOps and application workflows

to embed security in all processes.Leverage Microsoft’s security tools:

Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel, and other tools; set up information protection and compliance measures; manage encryption keys; coordinate with SOC and Sentinel providers for incident response.Focus on compliance:

Address ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIS2 requirements; support documentation, audits, insider risk management, and eDiscovery; use metrics like Secure Score for continuous improvement.Monitor and respond:

Set alerts, investigate incidents, and assist in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams—advising, sharing security knowledge, and communicating risks and solutions effectively.What We’re Looking For

A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.At least 5 years in cloud security, with 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.Experience in enterprise environments, preferably in regulated industries.Deep understanding of Azure security and Microsoft Defender tools.Advanced skills with Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.Experience with Entra ID/Active Directory, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.Knowledge of security compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2).Familiarity with Azure firewalls, security groups, and endpoint management.Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) or working towards itAt least one of: MS-500, SC-400, SC-900Bonus: CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications.Soft Skills

Excellent communicator, able to explain complex issues clearly.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to produce clear documentation and work independently or in teams.Confident in presenting recommendations to stakeholders.Benefits
