AWS Security Architect

Interim AWS Security Architect - Financial ServicesRobert Half is supporting a global consulting firm in engaging an experienced AWS Security Architect as an interim associate to support a large-scale cloud security programme for a major financial services organisation. This role will focus on deep AWS application and infrastructure security, working closely with engineering teams and AWS as a strategic partner to design and secure cloud-native platforms.Assignment Details:Start: c. 2-3 week onboarding lead timeLocation: Primarily remote, with flexibility for occasional days in the City of LondonContract Duration: Initial 6-month contract (strong likelihood of extension)Day Rate: £600 p/day PAYE + 12.07% via PAYE (Employer''s NI and tax deducted at source - no umbrella company admin fees)Key Experience Needed:Strong experience as an AWS Security Architect within financial services (ideally banking)Proven track record designing and securing AWS-native applications (not just governance or oversight)Deep expertise in container security, particularly EKS and service mesh environmentsStrong understanding of AWS network security, including VPC design, segmentation, firewalling, and Direct ConnectExperience working directly with AWS as a supplier, providing independent security assurance and challengeAbility to operate at both low-level design (LLD) and enterprise architecture levelsDesirable Experience:Experience within low-latency or trading environmentsExposure to AWS Outposts ..... full job details .....
