Job Title: Full Stack Developer (AWS) - Public Sector
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel
Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: -470 per day (Inside IR35)



About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a high-profile public sector programme. This is a remote-first contract with occasional travel required for team meetings and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications, working across both frontend and backend technologies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications in a cloud-native environment.
  • Build responsive and user-friendly frontend solutions using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Develop and integrate backend services and APIs.
  • Work within AWS environments, leveraging cloud services to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to solution design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure applications meet security, performance, and accessibility standards.
  • Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong commercial experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Solid frontend development experience using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of modern software development practices, including CI/CD and version control.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Previous Public Sector project experience.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience working on government or regulated industry programmes.


Security Requirements

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and hold BPSS clearance.
