European Cargo is seeking an experienced Aviation Security Manager (ASM) to join our Safety, Security and Compliance team at Bournemouth Airport. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of aviation security across our operations, acting as the primary liaison with the Department for Transport (DfT) and other relevant authorities.Location

Lead and maintain the Company Airline Security Programme, ensuring compliance with all aviation security legislation and regulation.Serve as the main point of contact with Government and Airport Authorities, including the DfT, CAA AVSEC, and Police Counter Terrorism Units.Ensure effective emergency response planning and operational readiness for security threats.Provide senior management with regular reports on security risks, threats, and compliance.Oversee company-wide security training programmes, including initial and recurrent training, ensuring all records are maintained and up to date.Promote a culture of security awareness and vigilance across the organisation.Carry out departmental self-audits and contribute to the Safety Management Team.About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation security (preferably within global or cargo airline operations).Strong knowledge of aviation security management principles, UK air operations, and regulatory requirements.Experience working with UK DfT, CAA AVSEC, and Police CTU.Knowledge of emergency planning and response within aviation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office; Centrik desirable).UK DfT Certificated Level 3 Security Manager training (or willingness to complete).What We Offer
