Location: Acton Pay rate: Umbrella £37.84 / o/t £47.37 PAYE £27.93 / o/t £34.91 Shift pattern: Days Monday Friday 7am 15.00pm, Friday 7am 12 noon Duration long termMorson Talent is recruiting for an Auxiliary Assistant, this is a hands-on, depot-based position, within a train depot, supporting production and workshop teams with the preparation, movement and basic assembly of rail components and equipment. The successful candidate must have a Forklift licence and from a rail engineering, manufacturing, maintenance or depot environment background. Key responsibilities • Supporting production teams with stripping, cleaning, preparation and minor assembly work. • Cleaning and preparing components, bogies and railway carriages. • Identifying raw materials and manufactured components using bills of materials, stores requisitions and manufacturing specifications. • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks and other materials-handling equipment. • Operating overhead cranes, electric vehicles and road vehicles where appropriately trained and authorised. • Transporting equipment and assets safely around the depot. • Using hand and power tools, including drills, sanders and powered screwdrivers. • Assisting with the safe dismantling of equipment to component or sub-system level. • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the workshop and depot. • Reporting equipment ..... full job details .....
