Automotive Technician

Duties - Being responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role involves working with a wide range of vehicle systems, from mechanical components to advanced electronics.

• Inspect vehicles and identify faults using diagnostic equipment

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance (e.g. oil changes, brake checks)

• Repair or replace faulty parts such as clutches, gearboxes, and suspension systems

• Conduct road tests to verify repairs

• Install and service accessories like alarms, stereos, and immobilisers

• Communicate repair needs and costs to customers

• Maintain accurate records of work completed

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Must be familiar with modern vehicle electrics and diagnostics
