Based in Aston, these Automotive Production & Machine Operatives roles sit with a major Tier 1 supplier. Successful applicants will run machinery, assemble components and support high-volume output across rotating days (06:00–13:30 / 13:30–21:00) or permanent nights (21:00–06:00). Proven automotive manufacturing experience is essential, alongside competence in machine operating, component production or assembly work. Pay ranges from £15.16 hourly on days to £16.87 on nights, offered on a full-time basis with long-term prospects. Operatives must meet quality standards, follow safety procedures and maintain steady production rates throughout each shift.

Experienced Automotive Production Operatives Wanted
Strong automotive manufacturing experience is essential.
We are recruiting experienced Automotive Production Operatives and Machine Operators to join a busy, high-volume manufacturing facility in Central Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a proven background in automotive production, component manufacturing, machine operating or automotive assembly who are looking for long-term work with a major Tier 1 automotive supplier.
You will be working within a fast-paced automotive production environment manufacturing components supplied to major vehicle manufacturers.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Operating CNC and automated production machinery
- Working with laser welders, hydraulic presses, water jet equipment and robotic welding cells
- Loading and unloading automotive components from production machinery
- Carrying out quality checks and inspections using gauges and measuring equipment
- Identifying defects and ensuring components meet strict automotive quality standards
- Reading and following engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications
- Making basic machine adjustments and reporting any faults or issues
- Working to production targets, KPIs and customer requirements
- Completing production paperwork and computer-based manufacturing records
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised production area
- Working as part of a high-performing automotive production team
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong automotive manufacturing background.
You should have:
- At least 12 months' recent experience within automotive manufacturing
- Previous experience as an Automotive Production Operative, Machine Operator, CNC Operator, Assembly Operative or similar
- Experience operating production machinery within a high-volume automotive environment
- Experience with CNC machines, presses, robotic welding, automated machinery or automotive assembly
- Good understanding of automotive quality standards and production processes
- Experience working to strict production targets and KPIs
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- The ability to follow technical instructions and engineering drawings
- A reliable and flexible approach to shift working
- The ability to work effectively within a busy manufacturing team
