Automotive Component Engineer - Accessory Design

Automotive Design Engineer CAD NX / Accessories ASL Technical is looking for an experienced Automotive Design Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering environment in Bedfordshire, working on exciting vehicle accessory and special vehicle development programmes. If you''re a Design Engineer or CAD Engineer who enjoys seeing your designs become real vehicle components, this is a great opportunity to work across automotive accessories, plastics, electrical systems, interior trim and mechanical components. What You''ll Be Doing You''ll play a key role in taking automotive accessories from initial design through to vehicle integration, working with a broad range of components and engineering disciplines. Design and develop automotive accessories and vehicle components. Produce and modify 3D CAD designs using Siemens NX / NX CAD. Work across plastic components, interior trim, electrical accessories and mechanical parts. Check vehicle fitment, packaging and component integration. Support special vehicle and bespoke applications. Participate in design reviews and technical development activities. Work to agreed cost, quality and programme targets. Resolve CAD, design, fitment and engineering issues with cross-functional teams. What We''re Looking For We''re keen to hear from engineers with: Engineering degree or equivalent qualification. 3+ years'' automotive OEM or relevant supplier experience.
