Overview

Automation Project Manager role at TipTopJob, based near Telford. Salary: cGBP75k neg dependent on experience, plus benefits.Our client provides hardware and software design through to robot systems integration and commissioning on bespoke automation solutions. They are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead the Projects team and manage multiple projects to defined lead times and standards, with responsibilities across FDS development, controls layout, testing, commissioning and project sign-off.Responsibilities

Lead multiple automation projects at an engineering level in line with client lead times and standards.Develop and gain sign-off for Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and associated controls layouts in accordance with FDS requirements.Develop technical documents using industry-standard diagrams and language; maintain project gateway sign-off for automation, including FDS, electrical design, FAT, electrical installation planning, commissioning and final acceptance testing.Manage all aspects of resource planning for each project; ensure materials are identified, budgeted, ordered and delivered on site to schedule; create documentation to satisfy CE/UKCA marking requirements.Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation; oversee activities of team members; provide high level weekly project updates detailing risks, opportunities and escalations.Travel as required, attend meetings at the associated Nottingham facility, and participate in training as needed; work autonomously and as part of a team on site and in the workshop.Demonstrate expertise in scheduling, prioritization, budget management, task management and risk management; typically 5+ years of project management experience within a logistics automation environment; experience in electrical/PLC design and development (ideally from conveyor, robotics or automotive sectors).Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in a logistics automation environment.Experience in electrical/PLC design and development; familiarity with conveyors, robotics or automotive contexts.Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.Willingness to travel/stay away as required; adherence to Health and Safety legislation.Budget, scheduling, prioritization and risk management competency.Employment type
