WE ARE LOOKING FOR AFC - AUTOMATION FLOW CONTROLLERS TO WORK ON MORNING SHIFT 6AM-2PM Inside of the John Lewis Distribution Centre at Magna Park 1 and 2, there are miles and miles of conveyors, called the Automation, on which containers, called totes and cartons, travel or flow. At any point during their journey there''s a possibility for the container totes to become stuck, or crash. It is the role of the AFC: Automation Flow Controller to clear those crashes, report the issues and ensure a continuous flow of containers. Ideal qualities of an AFCPhysicality: You should be prepared to climb ladders, go up and down lots of stairs and walk between and steps in a dayMentality: You must be able to manage your own frustration and deal with a fair amount of pressureTechnicality: Develop a working understanding of how the Automation functions, what the parts are called and how to report problems to control roomCommunication: As an AFC, you need be be able to clearly communicate over the radioAutonomy: An ability to self govern.
