Automation Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Automation / Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining, improving and developing automated production systems. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, fault-find and improve automated manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls and PLC faults. Support automation projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives and industrial control systems. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams. Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably. The Ideal Candidate: Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong electrical and controls/automation knowledge. Experience with PLC fault-finding and programming. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications are desirable.
