Automation Engineer - FinTech - Payments - AI An exciting opportunity has opened for an Automation Engineer to join a rapidly growing Payments FinTech. We are looking for a highly hands-on automation specialist who can design, build and evolve robust automated testing frameworks across critical payments platforms. You will: Design, build and maintain API-focused automation frameworks. Develop automated tests using Java, with the opportunity to work increasingly with Golang. Extend frameworks using REST Assured, Postman/Newman and internal tooling. Build contract-testing, data-driven and performance-testing frameworks. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Work closely with Software Engineers, Product and manual QA teams to improve overall quality and test coverage. Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews and best practices around automation. Leverage AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve test development, automation efficiency and engineering workflows. Essential experience: Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch. Deep knowledge of API automation and contract testing. Strong Java/JVM coding ability, with an interest or experience in Golang. Experience with AWS and cloud-based environments. Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or equivalent CI/CD tooling. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, clean code and test architecture.
