Controls and Automation EngineerLocation: South WestSalary: Up to 60,000Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday 8:30am - 2:30pmAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Controls and Automation Engineer to join a well-established, highly regulated manufacturing business. This is a key role within the engineering team, responsible for maintaining and developing site automation systems while driving continuous improvement projects across production.Working in a modern manufacturing environment, you''ll play a leading role in improving machine reliability, introducing new automation technologies, and supporting the delivery of innovative engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesFault find, maintain and improve PLC and control systems, including Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron platforms.Provide technical support for production breakdowns, identifying and implementing permanent corrective actions.Manage software backups, version control and system documentation.Design, specify and deliver automation improvements and new equipment projects.Work with external suppliers through project design, FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover.Develop connectivity between production equipment and manufacturing systems to improve data collection and traceability.Validate software and automated equipment in line with quality and regulatory requirements.Ensure all engineering changes follow robust change control procedures and are fully documented.Drive continuous improvement ..... full job details .....
