Automatic or Industrial Door Engineer

As a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, my client-also specialises in door systems across commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. They''re-now looking to grow our Door Services team with a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Door Engineer based in Bristol or surrounding areas.

The Role-

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and minor repair of automatic or industrial door systems, including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, and sliding and swing automatic doors. Covering a range of commercial and industrial client sites across the West Midlands region, this role offers autonomy, support, and a chance to work for a business that invests in its people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on industrial and automatic door systems.
• Attend breakdowns and emergency callouts, diagnosing and repairing faults promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and the company''s-high standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out using digital tools and service reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients on-site.
• Participate in the on-call rota on a 1 week in 8-basis, and be available for overtime as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining automatic and industrial doors.
• Knowledge of a range of systems including roller shutters, sectional doors, dock levellers, and automatic pedestrian doors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
