AutoCAD Technician

AutoCAD Technician | Building Services (MEP) | Manchester | circa -40,000

An established MEP Building Services consultancy is looking for an AutoCAD Technician to join its team. Workload is high, and this is a chance to join a consultancy with a varied project portfolio that has a strong reputation with its clients.

The role
You''ll support the engineering team by producing and developing CAD drawing packages across a range of projects. This includes:

• Producing mechanical and electrical design drawings in AutoCAD from engineers'' markups and sketches
• Preparing pipework, ductwork and services layouts, plus coordinated drawing packages
• Working closely with design engineers, so you''ll need to understand what the drawings represent as well as how to draw them
• Maintaining drawing standards, revisions and issue records
• Picking up Revit alongside AutoCAD where project needs require it but growing your skillset alongside the capability of the business to deliver these projects.
• Working across RIBA Stages 3/4/5 and have a good understanding of as built designs.

About you

• Building Services experience as a CAD Technician using AutoCAD.
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Sound knowledge of the engineering side of Building Services, including how mechanical and electrical systems are laid out
• Good communication skills and a positive, proactive approach, as you''ll work directly with engineers
• Revit experience is desirable but not essential

Projects
A varied sector mix including healthcare, education, commercial and offices, industrial, leisure and hospitality, residential, retail and critical services.

Package

• Salary circa -40,000, depending on experience plus benefits package
• Minimum of 1 working day in the office and willingness to do more when required.
