To carry out diagnosis, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of electrical and electronic systems on a diverse fleet of heavy plant, HGVs, forklift trucks, vacuum jetting tankers, and specialist industrial equipment. The role is responsible for ensuring all vehicle and plant electrical systems are maintained to a high standard, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operation across the business. Diagnose and repair faults on 12V, 24V, and CAN-bus electrical systems. Trace and rectify wiring faults, short circuits, open circuits, poor earths, and intermittent issues. Repair and replace wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, switches, sensors, and control modules. Diagnose faults using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment. Calibrate and test electrical systems following repair. Install and commission electrical accessories and systems including: LED lighting and beacons Reverse cameras and monitoring systems Telematics and GPS equipment Safety systems and alarms Modify and fabricate wiring looms as required.
