Auto Electrician - Temporary Belfast City CouncilDuncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast BT3 9BP 17.18 per hour (PAYE)37 hours per week12-week assignment, starting Monday 12 October 2026 Hatched Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Auto Electrician to join Belfast City Council''s Fleet Management Unit on a temporary basis. You''ll keep the electrical and electronic systems of the council''s large, varied fleet safe, reliable and ready for the road. What you''ll be doing:Carrying out safety checks, servicing, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems on HGVs, LGVs, EVs, attachments and mobile plantPreparing vehicle electrical systems for annual testing and reporting defects earlyDiagnostic testing and fault finding using electrical diagnostic equipmentDismantling and reassembling vehicles and plant to repair or replace electrical componentsDriving council vehicles and collecting parts and spares as requiredCompleting job costing, time recording and quality assurance paperworkSupporting new starters and apprentices where required What you''ll need:A full, current driving licence valid in Northern IrelandTo be a time-served auto electrician with the IMI Level 3 Diploma in Auto-Electrical and Mobile Electrical Operation, an NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Electric Engineering, or an equivalent qualificationAt least one year''s experience in each of the following areas:working in a diverse fleet maintenance environmentworking on both HGV and LGV vehiclesThe ..... full job details .....
