Autism Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with complex needs and autism.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with complex needs and autism. You will work closely with the classroom teacher and other Teaching Assistants to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. We have a number of vacancies in both primary and secondary schools to start immediately, as well as in September.Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student''s needs. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. Implement strategies to support students with autism and other complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being. Foster positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence and independence. Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and parents as needed. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student care. Support students with personal care, if required.
