This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and who understands the importance of creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment. About the Role As an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have autism and a range of associated additional needs. You will play a key role in supporting their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and personal development. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autismSupporting pupils to access learning and develop their independenceUsing appropriate strategies to support communication and interactionHelping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviourCreating a calm, consistent and structured environmentSupporting pupils with sensory needs and individual learning plansWorking closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionalsBuilding strong, trusting relationships with pupilsEncouraging confidence, independence and positive engagement in ..... full job details .....
