An opportunity has arisen within this Fire Service''s Governance, Projects and Collaboration section for an Authority Governance Officers based in Sheffield, with agile working including home working, fire stations and other sites as required.Authority Governance OfficerLocation: Sheffield S1 - Agile workingHours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week (Flexi Time)Contract: PermanentSalary: £28,598- £31,022 (Grade 5) To increase subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026Job Type: CorporateThe overall purpose of the role will be to support the efficient and effective delivery of the service''s Authority governance and administration arrangements, including other internal and external governance arrangements as appropriate.To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of providing governance and administration support.You must possess an awareness of how fire and rescue services are managed and have knowledge about the service''s governance model and processes.The key duties will include working closely with the Legal and Monitoring Officer to plan out all the Fire and Rescue Authority meetings, book and organise the meetings, provide meeting support, create meeting packs, minutes and relevant documentation, and to support the co-ordination of annual reports and assessments.Closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 24th August 2026.Interested?To apply, please click the apply button.
