We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and forward-thinking accountancy practice with an expanding client base. They are looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join their team, offering excellent career progression, a wide range of responsibilities and the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of clients.
The Role
Reporting to the Partners and Senior Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out audit and accounts work from planning through to completion, while also supporting the wider team and developing junior members of staff
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing audit procedures from the planning stage through to audit fieldwork and completion.
* Preparing and reviewing accounts for Ltd Companies, Charities, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships.
* Handling corporate and personal tax compliance.
* Working within agreed budgets and strict deadlines.
* Keeping up to date with technical developments across Audit, Accounts and Tax.
* Providing clients with relevant technical advice and support.
* Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
* Working closely with Partners and Senior Management across the client portfolio.
* Using a range of accounting and audit software to deliver work efficiently and accurately.
* Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm''s client base.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Qualified or part-qualified through ACCA, ICAS or an equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience within the audit department of a general accountancy practice.
* Strong core skills across audit and accounting.
* Experience working with a varied client portfolio.
* Good knowledge of corporate and personal tax compliance.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Experience using accounting packages such as Sage Line 50.
* Experience with audit software.
* Knowledge of IRIS would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with clients.
* The ability to work independently and use initiative.
* A hardworking, dedicated and positive approach.

2. Is either newly qualified or part-qualified and looking to progress their career.
3. Is confident communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels.
4. Can manage their own workload effectively while working to strict deadlines and budgets.
5. Is keen to develop their technical knowledge and take on increased responsibility.
6. Enjoys supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
