Day-to-day, your work will include:Leading audits and supervising junior team membersReviewing financial statements and assessing internal controlsEnsuring compliance with UK auditing and accounting standardsManaging budgets, monitoring progress and reporting overrunsMaintaining clear, confident communication with clientsSupporting less experienced staff with training and feedbackManaging several assignments simultaneously while maintaining audit qualityYou''ll play a key role in delivering efficient, well-planned audits and identifying opportunities to add value.What you''ll need to succeedExperience in external audit within an accountancy practiceStrong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, auditing standards and Companies Act requirementsAbility to assess audit risk and deal with complex transactionsConfident leading planning, progress and completion meetingsExperience with areas such as:Group/component audits (ISA 600)Long-term contract accountingAcquisitions, disposals or reorganisationsIFRS and overseas subsidiariesAbility to coach and supervise juniorsEither ACA/ACCA/CA ..... full job details .....
