Audit Senior - Independent Accountancy Practice Hitchin Up to £45,000 Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice in Hitchin in their search for an Audit Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Audit Senior looking to take greater ownership of assignments, build trusted client relationships and continue progressing towards an ACA or ACCA qualification. You will manage audits from planning through to completion, gain broad practical experience and support the development of junior colleagues within a supportive and professional practice. The role offers excellent exposure to the full audit lifecycle, alongside opportunities to develop your technical knowledge, client management and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, including risk assessment, fieldwork, testing and analytical review Prepare accurate audit files, working papers and completion documentation in line with the firms methodology and UK auditing standards Review financial statements and supporting documentation, assisting with statutory accounts preparation where required Identify audit issues, control weaknesses and areas for improvement, escalating significant matters to the Audit Manager Act as a key client contact, managing information requests, resolving queries and keeping clients updated throughout assignments Manage multiple assignments, ..... full job details .....
