Audit Manager - EdinburghSalary: 50,000 - 60,000 Location: Edinburgh (hybrid working - up to 2 days from home)Our clients is a well-established, medium-sized accountancy firm based in Edinburgh, with a strong reputation for quality, long-term client relationships and developing their people. Due to continued growth and future succession planning, they are looking to appoint an Audit Manager who is keen to build a long-term career and progress within the firm. The roleYou will take responsibility for a mixed portfolio of clients, predominantly audit-focused with some accounts work. A significant proportion of the portfolio includes charity and not-for-profit organisations, so experience or interest in this sector would be particularly valuable.Working closely with partners, you will manage assignments from planning through to completion, while also playing a key role in developing and mentoring the team. Key responsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, acting as the main point of contactPlanning, leading and reviewing audit assignments in line with UK GAAP and relevant charity SORPsOverseeing audit fieldwork, budgets and deadlines, ensuring work is delivered to a high standardReviewing statutory accounts and audit files before partner sign-offLiaising directly with clients, trustees and finance teams to resolve technical and practical issuesManaging, mentoring and developing audit seniors and juniors, including on-the-job coachingSupporting partners ..... full job details .....
