Audit Manager

Space 8 Recruitment are thrilled to be supporting our Coventry-based client to recruit an Audit Manager.  This highly-motivated and dynamic Accountancy Practice was established over 50 years ago and thrives today with a 3000 strong client base covering all of the UK. 


The Role: 

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, companies, charities and other clients, you will act as the primary point of contact, providing proactive support and advice.
• Plan, manage and review audit assignments
• Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant UK accounting frameworks.
• Monitor portfolio profitability, work-in-progress and billing.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.

What are we looking for?

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Approximately 4-5 years'' post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Audit experience, including planning and reviewing audit assignments.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
